If you lead an active lifestyle, you can easily lose a TWS earbud—even while wearing it—and not notice until it’s too late. But the 1More Fit Open Earbuds S50 fits securely on your ear mainly thanks to its ear hooks.
Furthermore, this pair of earbuds is IPX7-rated. So, even if you like running in heavy rain, you can confidently enjoy your tunes while staying safe.
The earbuds have large earcaps installed, but you’ll also find extra small, small, and medium-sized earcaps. That way, you can change them and ensure a perfect fit. And, even with the ear hooks, you can wear these earbuds comfortably for several hours.
The 1More Fit S50’s open-ear design keeps you more aware of your surroundings. This is crucial, especially if you like listening outdoors. After all, hearing traffic, the people around you, and other environmental audio queues can help keep you safe.

Controls: Customizable Tap Actions
Like most earbuds, the 1More S50 uses touch-sensitive tap controls on both earbuds. By default, two taps on either side will play or pause your music and answer or hang up calls. You can also use a triple tap to activate your voice assistant.
However, you can customize these controls using the 1More Music app. Since the earbuds automatically pause and resume media when you take an earbud off and put it back on, I replaced the double-tap action on the left earbud with the "go to Previous Track" action and the "lower volume" action on the right. I also replaced the triple tap action with the "go to Next Track" and "increase volume" action on the left and right earbuds.
This means you get four different touch actions on the earbuds, making it more convenient to adjust your music without taking out your phone.
Battery Life: All-Day Power and Then Some
The 1More Fit S50 claims a 38-hour battery life, with 11 hours on each earbud. While I haven’t tested this claim, I’ve never run out of power using the S50. And if the earbuds run low on energy, putting it back in its case for five minutes is more than giving it about two hours of power.
You can recharge the case via a USB-C port at its back or use a wireless charger to power it up. It’s also fast-charging compatible, taking just around 90 minutes to fill it from empty. But if the earbuds are discharged, the case will take about 80 minutes to recharge fully.
It’s also easy to check the power level of the earbuds and the case. Open the lid with the earbuds inside, and the LED at the front of the case will light up—green means more than 80%, orange means between 20 and 80%, and red means less than 20%. When you close the lid, the LED light also shows the case’s remaining power.
Wireless Connectivity: Quick and Easy
This pair of earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3 to connect wirelessly to your devices. This means you get lightning-fast connectivity once you’ve paired it with your smartphone. When you remove the earbuds from its case, it will automatically connect to the last-paired device.
You don’t have to fumble around on your phone when you want to listen to music, watch a movie, or play a game. Just wear the 1More Fit S50 and start doing what you want on your phone—no waiting is required.
Furthermore, whether you’re watching a movie or playing a game, there’s little to no delay between the sound and the action on the screen. But if you’re into fast-paced games like Call of Duty: Mobile and want to ensure you don’t miss any audio queues from your opponents, you can activate Low-latency mode in the 1More Music app.
Unfortunately, unlike other premium earbuds, you can only connect the 1More Fit S50 to one device at a time unless you turn on the dual device connection in the Experimental Features menu. However, this didn’t work for me, which is why it's considered experiemental. So, if you want to use the earbuds on your laptop, you must reset them by holding the button in the case and pairing them with your other device.
Sound Quality: Excellent Overall
Like the 1More SonoFlow SE, the 1More Fit S50 offers great sound quality with its 13.6mm DLC dynamic driver. When you pump up the volume, you can hear each instrument and track clearly, allowing you to appreciate your music better.
Even with the volume at the lowest possible setting, you can still hear music in the background with its detail. This makes the 1More Fit S50 an excellent device for the office, as you can use it to help you drown out background noise or listen to tunes without disturbing your colleagues while working while ensuring you can hear if someone calls or talks to you.
However, this doesn’t support high-quality Bluetooth codecs like LDAC or aptX Lossless, so you might not want to use it with hi-res digital audio players like the Hidizs AP80 Pro-X.
Even so, you can change the earbud’s equalizer settings with the app. There are 14 available presets to choose from, although it doesn’t have a custom equalizer. Nevertheless, these presets are more than enough for most users to customize the sound profile to their tastes.
Noise Cancellation: Be Heard Over Ambient Noise While on a Call
Although the 1More Fit S50 doesn't have active noise cancelation technology, it uses AI environmental noise cancellation, ensuring you're clearly heard while on a phone call. This technology, when paired with the S50's four microphones, allows the earbuds to filter your voice effectively from ambient sounds. I tested this by making a call using the open earbuds with loud urban environmental noises in the background, and you can hear my voice over it. This first audio sample demonstrates the ambient noise as recorded through the phone.
The second sample is through the 1More Fit S50 with ANC enabled.
While it's not as clear as I would like, it's good enough for quick calls while you're out on a run.
1More App: Intuitive Customization
Another thing that helps make 1More’s products stand out from the crowd is its excellent app. You can easily customize the 1More Fit S50 to your taste using the app’s intuitive interface. You will also see the earbuds and case’s battery levels on the app, so you’ll know if you need to charge them.
You can change the auto-pause/auto-play setting using the Smart Playback menu in the app. There’s also Custom Settings, which lets you change what the triple and double tap gestures do on each earbud, and the Equalizer for customizing your sound profile. The Low-latency toggle is also right on the main screen, making it easy to switch on or off before you launch your game.
If 1More releases a firmware update for the Fit S50, you can use the app to update it with one tap from the main menu. You can also tap the 1More logo on the upper right corner to reveal more advanced options, like Smart Burn-in (what is headphone burn-in?) and dual device connection.
The app also features soothing sounds, offering various white and background noises to distract you from your environment or thoughts. However, each track is just about 10 seconds long and noticeably repeats itself afterward, so you might be better off looking for these white and ambient sounds on YouTube.
Premium Sound for Active People
Whether you’re an athlete, an outdoorsy person, or simply need to hear your environment while listening to music, the 1More Fit S50 is great for your listening needs. It has a reasonably long battery life, an expansive soundstage, and delivers crisp and clear audio.
The ear hooks also help keep it secure, even if you’re running or doing other physical activities. But despite that, it’s comfortable to wear for long periods. It also includes four ear caps, ensuring you get a perfect fit.
So, the 1More Fit Open Earbuds S50 is an excellent investment for your entertainment and safety while outside. But, more than that, they're also a perfect device for your daily use.
